Topic: Marie (Forpahl) Harris
From: Becky Best mortswife@comcast.net
Date: Tuesday, May 17, 2005 09:31 PM

I have a photo of a baby - note on back: Marie (Forpahl) Harris. She was named after me. Daughter of Jim and Lucy Forpahl. "Me" refers to Marie Barber Boyts. One of Marie's aunts was Iva Forpahl Barber, married to Fred Barber. I assume this baby is from that family. If you are interested in seeing the picture, please let me know. I'll be happy to e-mail to you. (Not sure of date, nothing specific to give it away. Aunt Marie was born in 1908. I'd guess 1920-1940 ish!)

we are trying to locate my husbands father who he never new. the only information that we have is his name, charles or chuck coleman. the gentle man may be in his early or late 60's and was from kansas or kansas city kansas. my husbands mother was only married to him for around 3 months. and will not show us husbands birth certificate or give us any information. this would have been 29 yrs. ago. 1974-1975 . this charles coleman was married to a kathy pemberton (which was her maiden name) but at the time of the marriage her name was possibly kathy baker as she was married to a baker before the marriage to coleman. any info would be helpful. sararandybaker2005@yahoo.com

your husband can get a copy of his birth certificate from the state where he was born, and the name and other info will be on it. You don't need his mother for that.

also copies of marriage licenses are a matter of public record and available at the county where the couple were married. A copy is only 1.00 or you can view it for free.

Hi Mary Ann,
your email address bounced, so I hope you check this board again.
Search for your Neifert family in the 1895 Kansas census at
http://www.kshs.org/genealogists/census/kansas/census1895ks.htm#1895database

Some of them appear to be in Mitchell County, Kansas

Not related - just wanted to point you to this resource,
Ardie
