Topic: Anthony SELLS
From: Brenda Hare Brenda.Hare@Cedar-Rapids.Net
Date: Saturday, September 04, 1999 06:19 PM

From "History of McLean County, Illinois" pp1173-1174:
"Anthony Sells, the father of our subject, and Benjamin Sells, the grandfather, were both natives of Virginia. The former emigrated to Indiana when a young man, where he remained a short time, and then came into Woodford County, this State (Illinois). There he married to Miss Mary Mundell, a native of Woodford Co. After their marriage the young people settled at Dixon, Illinois, whence they shortly afterward removed to Johnson County, Iowa. Anthony Sells being a miller by trade, put up a mill on the Iowa River, near Iowa City, which he operated for a number of years, and then pushed southwestward into Kansas, where he passed the remainder of his days. The mother had died while living in Johnson County, Iowa."

Am looking for death date and place of the above Anthony SELLS.

All help greatly appreciated. More than happy to exchange SELLS family information.
