GASKILL, TIFT

Seeking information on the deaths of my GGGgrandmother, Sophronia Jane GASKILL( b. May 1838,OH), who m. 1: Dyer Burgess Eastman, with whom she had two daughters, Elizabeth "Lydia" and Martha E. Eastman. Dyer Eastman killed at battle of Shilo in Tennessee, then Sophronia m.2: James A. Tift. James Tift died about 1890 in Woodward County, OK. By 1900, Sophronia is living in Stafford, Stafford, KS with her mother, Eleanor "Ellen" (KEIL) GASKILL (b. abt.1815, VA), widow of Noah GASKILL. Neither Sophronia or Eleanor show up on the 1910 Census. The dates of death and and place of burial for these two ladies have eluded us for years. If someone at the library can locate the records,  places of burial and/or obituaries, I would be happy to pay for your time, etc.

TAYLOR

My Taylor family lived in Stafford County in the 1870's and early 1880's.  My grandfather, Walter Blount Taylor was born in St. John, in 1879.  His father was Thomas Taylor and his mother was Jessie Ella Huckell Taylor.  They came to Kansas from Tennessee.

Thomas and Jessie were married in Girard, Ks. in 1876, where she was a school teacher.
James Peyton was born in 1877, Willard J. was born in 1881, Leroy T. was born in 1883, and Oscar Grover was born in 1885, all in Stafford County.
I would very much appreciate any information anyone might have on this family.
