Grigston Cemetery:  Scott County, Kansas

Directions: 1/2 mile east, 1 1/2 miles south,
then 1/4 mile east of Grigston.  Grigston is
located 10 miles east of Scott City on
Highway 96.

The town was started as Grigsby in 1886. Sometime in the
early 1920's the name was
changed to Grigston.
The original records for the cemetery were destroyed
in a house fire many years ago.

Although this list is as accurate as possible, there

***September 29, 1896: William H. Ozbun and his wife, Jennie R. Ozbun of
Reno County, Kansas (formerly of Grigsby), donated 2 acres of land in
Keystone Township, Scott County, Kansas for a cemetery.  It was originally
known as "Ozbun Cemetery". It came to be known as Grigsby Cemetery.**
