Dickens born February 17, 1884; Mary Jessie Julia was born July 9, 1886; Myrtle, born December 2, 1888; Nora Arden born May 12, 1892; died November 7, 1892; William Samuel, born September 8, 1893.

Johnson was born at Corlinville, McGoupin [Carlinville, Macoupin ??] county, Illinois, February 7, 1856; moved with his parents to Mahaska county, Iowa, in 1866; was raised on a farm and attended the common schools.  His parents died when he was 17 years of age since that time he has rustled for himself.  He came to Norton county, Kansas, September 15, 1878; went to work for G. H. Griffin receiving $10 per month.  In 1879 he began clerking for Close & Bruner and remained with them for five years.  He then began business for himself and has continued in business in Norton and Almena continuously ever since.  He has always been a republican in politics.  He was trustee of Center township in 1884; was elected clerk of district court in 1887 and unanimously renominated in 1889 but was defeated, along with the balance of the republican ticket, by the Farmers' Alliance.  He is at the present time police judge of Norton and is engaged in the marble business.

Curry was married to Rilda Lockard September 9, 1882; she was born in Coshocton county, Ohio, May 12, 1861.  They live on a farm two miles east of Norton.  He has always taken an active interest in politics as a republican and is trustee of Center township at this time.

They have five children; Ethel Dortha, born October 12, 1884; Byron Vincent, born November 24, 1886; Allen Deloss, born January 25, 1889; Otway Kenneth, born November 7, 1890; Edna Olive, born November 11. 1892.

Della S. Curry was married January 11, 1881 to Norman A. Johnson.  They have had two children; Clifford Vernon, born May 27, 1883; Louis Dalton, born July 14, 1885; died October 6, 1889.

Homer W. Curry is by occupation a farmer and is at present superintendent of the county farm.  He was married September 21, 1892 to Ada Stevens, daughter of D. E. Stevens of Hedgewood; she was born at Aplington, Butler county, Iowa, June 29, 1869 and came with her parents to Kansas in 1873; she was
