Jesse and Porter Stevenson were half brothers, and both settled in Marysville Township, Miami Co., KS before 1870. Jesse Stevenson (b. 1837 IL) was the son of William Stevenson (b. 1791 SC) and his first wife Martha Dickey (1795-1837). Jesse Stevenson was married to Priscilla Henderson in 17 Sep 1872. Porter Stevenson (b. 1843 MO) was the son of William Stevenson and his second wife Esther Young (b. 1809 TN). Porter Stevenson was married to Nancy Lavina Johnson 15 May 1862 in Anderson Co., KS.
