Query: I am looking for any information, newspaper articles about WIlliam and Mary Bales who were supposedly murdered Jan 26, 1911 in Jewel County.

I am also trying to track down the Burr Oak Cemetary records from Jewl County.

Query: Hinton Livengood, married Serena Frances (Fanny) Iddings b. 1846 Holt Co., Missouri, d. 1954 Jewell County, Kansas. Both are buried in Jewell County. They were married on 2/3/1867 in Holt Co., Missouri.
They had a son, first name unknown and he had a son named Forest Livengood. I would like to know more about this family to complete my research. I have lots of Iddings info that I would be glad to share.

Query: I am seeking the maiden name of Viola Dora who was married to Charles Frank CLINGMAN. She was born 3 Jan 1890 in KS. She died after a surgery at the State Hospital in Topeka 6 Nov 1954. They appear on the 1920 census together for the first time in Jewell Co. KS. They are both buried in the Jewell City Cemetery. Does anybody have any leads?

Query: Are there any Thornton families in Jewell County, Ks. I have a picture of a Thornton mill, wooden, fantastic mill, but can not find it. The family is from Republic County but the mill was not in Republic Co, Ks to the best of our knowledge. This sounds like the parents of Belle. No Salleys were found in the Jewell Co. Cemetery Index.
