I am looking for ANY information that I can find on my grandfather, Norman E. Burtch. I only know that he is buried in Howard, Kansas and that he supposedly died when I was about 10 months old, therefore, I'm guessing early in 1947. His spouse's name was Maude, and they resided in Chanute, Kansas. Does anyone know anything about this man and his family. Thanks

I am not sure of the exact mailing address of Grace Lawn Cemetery, but inquiries addressed to the City Clerk at Howard should get you on the right track.
The cemetery is at the southwest corner of Howard. Patsy Van Sickle, who lives in Howard and is the retired city clerk did keep the records at her home. If you need additional help, I can get it for you through my sister in Howard.
My e-mail address will change from vkling3@home.com to vkling3@mchsi.com about Feb. 28, 2002 Sincerely, Verne Kling

Mrs. L.J. or A.J. Wells is named as a sister to Martha Ann (Floyd) McNutt in Martha's obit dated Jul 1925. It says that Martha died at her sister's home in Grenola, KS. Martha born in Darke Co. OH, married 1st: Silas Lappon, 2nd: Lemual Iliff, 3rd: Henry McNutt. Also on the 1900 census I see a nephew, Vernon E. Wells b. My g gf Henry McNutt divorced his wife, my g gm Eliza Jane (Childers) and married Martha Ann Floyd.
Is anyone researching Wells? Would like to correspond with descendants.
