This may or may not work. I would send xerox copy of naturalization papers you have to the Osborne County Courthouse, Probate Judge's Office Re: Naturalization Records Osborne, Kansas 67473 Ask for any additional papers they have and the cost. If they have been transferred to another location ask how to access that location. Send a SASE. I hope you find them. My great- grandfathers papers the same ones you are after were lost from the Cherokee Co. Courthouse. It would seem there should have been another copy somewhere but so far no luck finding them.I also notice there may be an Osborne Co. Genealogical and Historical Society, c/o Osborne Public Library, Osborne, Ks.67473. Orlena

My 2nd great uncle, Lewis Hartsock, moved to SE Kansas, SW Missouri area after his father George Hartsock died in 1862. Lewis was born 14 August 1822, a son of George and Elizabeth Kramer/Cramer Hartsock, near Mt. Holly, Wayne Township, Warren County, Ohio. He died on 6 March 1889 in Girard, Crawford County, Kansas. He was married to Esther Evans, a daughter of Robert and Sarah Coppock Evans, and a relative of John Evans, territorial governor of Colorado, for whom Mt. Evans, Colorado is named. They married on 16 Jan 1844, in Ohio. She was born in South Carolina in 1821 and died in 1883 in Jericho Springs, Wright County, Missouri. I have four children born to them from the Ohio Census of 1850: Rebecca A., Elias, Sarah E., and G.R.

I have a great deal of information on their relatives in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, etc., but this is all the information I have on them. Would be very appreciative of any information that anyone might have.

Looking for information about the family of John Bond, who lived in Crawford County from at least 1874-1883. Is there someone who could look him up in the 1880 census? I'm particularly trying to find his birth place and that of his wife, Mary Lutitia Wright. I'd also love to locate descendants of their children: Grace (Mitchell), Cora (Christie), Vena (Thom), Viola (Taylor), Ingra (Wright), Ione (Harrison), Joel, Jesse and Burton.

I am looking for Fowlers in Kansas in the middle to late 1800's. Not sure which county they settled in. Robert W. Fowler had brothers: Charles, Ezra, George, and one sister, Mamie. Their father's name may have been Ezra L. Fowler.

Do you know the names of Lucinda's children?

I had heard within the family that Crawford County was the county they lived in. By 1903, the brothers and their father were in Grant County, Oklahoma.

Hope to hear from you, darline@wans.net

I am desperately seeking any information for my genealogical research on Bertha Racy. I know only her birth year (1894) and her marriage to George Horn on April 16, 1912 in Cherokee County, Kansas. They later moved to California. However, I have reason to believe that she was born or grew up or resided in the city of Cherokee (Crawford County), Kansas.
Questions I would love to have answered include: What was Bertha Racy's mother's maiden name? What was her father's given name? Did Bertha Racy have any siblings? If so, who were/are they? Was Bertha born in the city of Cherokee?
I would be so grateful for any information. I fear my family tree may remain forever lopsided unless I can gain appropriate information on the Racy family. If you can help, please use the following e-mail address: InguzCL@cs.com
