Biographical Sketch

 

  William A. Hanson died at the age of 79, twelve miles northeast of the Chanute.  The end came on the farm, which he took as a homestead forty-five years before and where he had resided until his death on November 1, 1926.

  He fought in the Civil war, being a member of Company D, 150th Illinois Infantry.

  At the time of his death he was survived by his wife; their son, Arthur, and a grandson, Ben, all of the home address; and by two brothers, R. A. Hanson and Link Hanson, and a sister, Mrs. R. H. Cunningham, of Chanute.
