FINDLEY—Friday May 10, 1907, at 10:00 p. m. at his home in the north part of Severy.  Mr. Geo. H. Findley, aged 77 years, 15 days.

Mr. Findley was born in Pittsburg, Pa., April 25, 1830, where he grew to manhood.  He enlisted as a private in Co. I, 168th Pa. Volunteer Infantry in Oct. 1862 and was honorably discharged the following July with his company at Harrisburg.  He came to Kansas in 1875 and on Nov. 23, 1886 at Topeka, was married to Mrs. Lucinda Holt, to which union one daughter was born.  He leaves a wife, a son by a former wife, a daughter, Mrs. Lettie Sherlock, two step-sons and two brothers to mourn his loss.

For the past 20 years he has made this township his home and for the past ten years has resided in Severy.  He was a member of the U. B. church, having joined some 20 years ago and has lived a true Christian life since then.

Funeral services were held by Rev. Haffner in the U. B. church Sunday afternoon after which the remains were taken to the Severy cemetery where the G. A. R. Post took charge and buried the remains with their ritualistic services.

The relatives have the sympathy of all in their loss.
