  D. B. Randall was born at Millford, Conn., July 11, 1835, and died at his home in Waverly, Jan. 6, 1917, at the age of 81 yrs, 5 mo., 26 days.  During the Civil War he enlisted in 102 Ill. Infantry and served his country throughout the conflict.  He was married to Nettie J. French at Wakeman, Ohio, June 25, 1866.  To them were born six children, Mrs. J. M. Patrick, J. M. Randall, and Mrs. J. R. Cary, of Waverly, A. B. Randall of Nowata, Okla., G. A. Randall of Fairbury, Nebr., and Mrs. C. A. Brown of Hill City, Kans.

  Mrs. Randall having died in 1911 he was married to Emma G. Ratliff Dec. 16, 1915, who cared for him most tenderly during the time of his last illness and who, with his six children and a number of grandchildren still survive him.

  He was reared in the Protestant Episcopal church, and later joined the Methodist Episcopal church of which he was a member until the time of his death.
