I'm trying to locate some information about my grandparents - John Henry Wells
and Susie Scott. They were married in Columbus, KS on 4/27/1937. I'm
particularly interested in the Wells' side of the family.

Am looking for any information on John Foley or his family who lived in Cherokee
County according to the 1855 census and 1905 census. We believe he died there,
but cannot find any info regarding death or burial. He was age 57 on the 1885
census. His wife, Mary, died and was buried in Illinois. Children known were
Patrick, Owen, Daniel, Mary, & Ellen. Please contact me at
gaylelaree@iolaks.com
Thank you very much for any help you can give.

I am searching for the cemetery in which Ferdinand Petzoldt is buried. He died
in Baxter Springs in 1974. If anyone has any further info on this family, I
would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

My gr.grandfather's brother, Richard P. Reed (Read) was in Co, A, 10th Kansas
Inf. He was on the 1st Indian Expedition and died of disease on Aug. 10, 1862.
His Military records show that he died on the 'march from Carter Springs to Ft.
Scott'. The Kansas Hist. Soc. shows a Carter's Spring somewhere in Cherokee
County, Kansas. His burial is not recorded. I need to find what/where Carter
Springs was. It does not appear in the book by the Kansas State Hist. Soc. as a
Post Office in any time period. Any help would be most welcome. Thanks.
