I am still trying to find information on Able V. CROW. I am pretty sure he
was born in Cherokee County in 1863. Is there a town called Neosho or
Galena? His mother's name was Rhoda C. PAYNE CROW. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks Dee

I am trying to find out some information on past relatives that lived in
Weir, Kansas around 1860's til the 1930's. They are buried somewhere
around Weir in a cemetery. The names are Sol BIOLOSTOSKY or BIOLOSTOSKI
or BIOLOSTOSK and other is Jenny FUNNENBERGER, she operated or owned a
store. They was a large family from their that went out on a covered
wagon from the east. They would be my great, great grandparents. My
grandmother's name is Esther BIOLOSTOSKY. Also, an info on a teacher who
married my grandmother 1916 named Dana Osborne REED. He may have
graduated from Kansas and coached or played football before coming to
Ohio State University and graduating with a law degree in 1922 or 1924.
I can be reached at rreed@ustrotting.com, phone 614-224-2291 ext. 3217
during the day at my office. Any help would be appreciated.

Michael BURNS born in 1834, and Bridget KERNS born in 1837-1840.
Family operated a general store during the Civil War, and migrated West
in a covered wagon with a party of 20( to include Pat and Michael
Mannion) to Cherokee County in the twon Heammon Springs on claim land
until about 1871. They had 10 children, Sarah, Richard, Michael, James,
Patrick, Honora Burns (Born in Scammon, Ks on Oct 29, 1872), Margaret,
Mary Ellen (Mollie) Lawrence, and Kathleen. While digging on his
settlement, he struck a vein of coal. This discovery turn the settlement
in to a Coal Mining Community, he sold his land, and he moved to Sumner
County in 1871, and stayed long enough to file a claim on his property,
and moved permanently to Sumner Cty in 1874.The family must have claim
land near Scammon about 1866-1871, and 1874, moved to Sumner Cty. I have
no further history of the family.
