I researching Chase, Illinois. It was a small village from around 1887-1903, built on the Santa Fe railroad in Peoria, county Illinois. Does anyone know of a connection between Chase county and Chase, Illinois? In the Santa Fe Archives I came across some papers that mentioned Chase county and thought that there may be a connection. I am looking for information about OH Drinkwater and family. He was married (for the second time) Oct 1, 1876 to Ida Weaver. Ida was the daughter of Henry Weaver. Henry died Nov.7, 1909 and Lorana Keen( Lorana was my great grand aunt).Any help would be appreciated.

Her father Joseph Purcell disappeared in a mysterious accident. Would like to learn more about this. I am their great-great granddaughter.

Looking for information on John Maylon Smith b. October 01, 1872 in IN and married to Martha Eldora Makin b. March 08, 1874. John's siblings were Clara, Roy and Orrie George Smith. Isaiah Rider (1823-1896), profiled in the 1883 History of Kansas.
Samuel Park (1826-c.1900), profiled in "Chase County Historical Sketches".
Joseph Mosier (1852-1884), whose death at the 101 Ranch has also been in print.

Hello, I am trying to get my Grandmother's birth record. She was born Dec 14, 1884 in Strong City, KS. Earlier I thought Strong City was in Labette Co., now I find out it is Chase Co. Can someone help me?? Daisy Bailey b Dec 14, 1884. Parents were, Benjamin F. & Mildred Bailey. Trying to get more on Benjamin, thought if I could get Daisy's birth cert, it might give me more. Write to Chase Co Historical Society, 301 Broadway, PO Box 375, Cottonwood Falls, Ks. 66845 Phone 620-273-8500 They may have help on the family you are researching.

Several volumes exist of Chase Co History. You can hire someone to do research inexpensively. ($5.00 per hour) It might be more now. Not sure.

I am searching for any bier/Beer in the census and in the cemeteries. Particularly in Lebo Kansas. I spotted a Samuel Bier/Beer buried there in the cemetery when I was their in for my uncle Bob Beer/s funeral. His son Jerry is also buried there as well. I need info on the older Beer (sam) Thank for any help.
