DRY RIDGE: This community was painfully shocked to learn of the death of Aunt Ellen Mercer last Tuesday at the home of her son in Xenia, where she was visiting, after an illness of two days of hemorage of the lungs. Aunt Ellen was one of our oldest and most highly respected citizens and will be greatly misses by all. She leaves four sons and one daughter, one brother, and a host of friends to mourn her loss. She was a member of the Christian Church. Her funeral was preached at the Baptist Church at Xenia Thursday afternoon by Rev. Smith and interment was made in Stevenson cemetery.

PLEASANT RIDGE: G. Danghters, who has been attending medical school at Kansas City, accompanied by his sister, Mrs. L.A. Stafford, visited their sister Mrs. E. Low last Friday.

Mrs. Harlan of Bronson visited her daughters Mrs. Ed. Goodno, Mrs. Sam Goodno and Mrs. Frank Harlan a few days.

MORAN: Mrs. Eva Robb and children of Big Creek were visiting her parents Mrs. C.R. Hoddy Tuesday.

Mr. George Bacon returned Monday from Pennsylvania where he has been visiting relatives for the past month.

Mrs. Mary Meyers of Bronson was visiting her daughter Mrs. J.J. Wilson Tuesday.
