My gggrandfather Christopher Shell was in Ft. Scott in the
late 1800's. My grandfather George Albert Shell was born 09
Nov 1869 in Ft. Scott, and two of his sisters are buried in a
cemetery there. We are looking for any information that we
can find on the family. When they arrived and what they did.
Was the Ft. Scott paper in publication at that time?
Christopher's brother Peter V. was in the 1st Kansas Calvary
in 1861. We don't have any record of their father who was
also named Christopher Shell. Thanks!!
