I'm attaching a picture postcard of the Christian Church in Sharon, KS. It was sent around Christmas about 1917/18 to my grandfather, Albert Paul SCHLOETZER, from his sister, Lillian SCHLOETZER. She wrote "Merry Christmas" on the front and signed it.
Lillian SCHLOETZER married Jess Cushenberry, also of Sharon, about this time. I don't know any more about the church. If I come across any more information I'll pass it on.
My great-grandfather, Francis Louis SCHLOETZER was a veterinarian in Sharon also about this time.
Of course, I welcome any contact about the SCHLOETZER or CUSHENBERRY families.

As a student, he served the Christian Church, Sharon, Kansas; Belmont Avenue Christian Church, Kansas City, Mo.; Central Christian Church, Frisco, Texas, and Northwest Christian Church, Arlington, Texas, all Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) congregations." -- Obituary, September 16, 1999.
