| Obituary of WILLIAM H. DART |
| (My Great Uncle) William H. DART, oldest son of George W. and Eliza DART was born near Bethany, MO, June 15, 1867 and departed this life at his home near Washington, KS, Nov 20, 1931, aged 64 years, 5 months and 5 days. His early life was spent in Missouri, coming to this county in 1886, settling near Haddam, KS, where he has lived most of the time since moving to the farm, which has been his late home in 1918. He was united in marriage to Mattie A. BOWER, Jan 18, 1898. The wife, Mrs. Mattie DART and four daughters, Mrs. Mabel WELLS of Mahaska, KS, Muriel GARNET, Grace Louise and Bethel Frances survive him. In 1898, he was converted and united with the Baptist Church at Blocker. He was also a member of the Masonic Order at Haddam, KS. He leaves three brothers, Willard, John and Walter of Haddam, KS. Two sisters, Mrs. R.I. HINES of Tuthill, SD and Mrs. Will STRUBE of Carelton, NE, who with other relatives and a host of friends mourn his passing. He was initiated and entered apprentice June 11, passed to the degree
of Fellowcraft Sept 21, and raised to the degree of Master Mason, Nov 29,
1907. |
