Obituary of GEORGE THOMAS BARNES |
George Thomas BARNES, the youngest son of George C. and
Sarah Jane BARNES, was born at Indianola, Warren Co, Iowa, Jan 14, 1876
and passed away at his home in Morrowville, Aug 27, 1942 at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 13 days. With his parents he came to Kansas when he was 13 To this union seven children, five sons and two daughters were born. They are Verlin A.; Otho A.; Donald J.; Vera, now Mrs. Harold STANTON; Velma, now Mrs. Fred MATHY, all of Morrowville; Harold T., Haddam, KS. They with their mother, and Wayne W. of Augusta, KS all survive him. Also left to mourn his loss is one brother, John BARNES of Morrowville, eight grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. His parents, two brothers and two sisters and one grandchild preceded him in death. Mr. BARNES was a devoted husband and father and |
