NEWSPAPER UNKNOWN, 1938-1945
Obituary of  CLARENCE FELDHAUSEN
Clarence FELDHAUSEN of Palmer was killed Friday morning while working with a bridge crew south of Haddam.

They had been digging trenches for forms for a bridge and they had supported the opposite bank with boards and props.

There had been five of the workmen that had just completed the form and gotten out when they noticed they had left a saw in the trench. FELDHAUSEN went back in to get the saw when the bank gave way.

He was struck on the head and the boards and dirt crushed his chest against the forms in the trench.
