Obituary of JOHN F. STRECK |
John Frederick Streck, 80, Russell, died Monday (9 June
1975) at St. John's hospital here. He was born in Sept. 1894, in Barton county, and had lived in Russell since 1936. Mr. Streck was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Russell; the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a World War 1 veteran. Surviving are the widow, Phoebe, of the home; 3 daughters, Mrs. Betty Kulp, Salina; Bonnie Streck, Wichita, and Mrs. Mary Quint, Imperial, Neb.; 3 brothers, Ben, Gorham, Philip, Galatia, and Alex, San Mateo, Calif; a half brother, Jacob, Russell; 2 sisters, Mrs. Helen Luke, Syracuse, N.Y. and Mrs. Anna Bridenstein, Great Bend, and 3 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 am, Wednesday at Pohlman's funeral home, Russell, the Rev. Herman Frerichs (sic) officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's church cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the church. |
