Obituary of FRED W. "FRITZ" STRECKER |
Fred W. "Fritz" Strecker, 78, Russell, died Wednesday
night (15 February 1984) at Russell City Hospital. He was born Feb. 25,
1905, in Russell County, son of John Peter Strecker and Augusta Emelia (Stielow)
Strecker. He was a lifetime Russell resident. He was a verteran of World War II, a life member of the Elks Lodge, and a member of William Roe Post No. 99, The American Legion. He was a mechanic most of his life. He worked for International Harvester under Rudy Woelk and later Herman Krug, and for J. J. Hall Oil operations. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pohlman's Memorial Chapel, Rev. Rick Thornton officiating, with burial in Russell City Cemetery. He is survived to two sisters Minnie Strecker and Bertha Havel, both of Russell. Memorials may be to the Heart or Cancer Fund. Friends may call from 9 a.m. Friday to service time. |
