Obituary of JULIA E. BOND |
Services for Julia Elvira Bond, 82, Lawrence, KS will be
at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lawrence, KS. Mrs. Bond died Thursday, March 7, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 1, 1920, south of Codell, KS, the daughter of Perry C. and Eva E. (Reedy) Simpson. Mrs. Bond was a homemaker and a rental agent for many years before retiring in 1977. She was a member of the North Lawrence Improvement Assn. and McLouth United Methodist Church, and a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 852. She married Claudis J. Shackelford in 1941 in Hays, KS. He died in 1969. She married Willis T. Bond in November 1975. He died April 5, 1990. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent in care of the funeral home and will be designated at a later date. |
