DATE OF BIRTH and LOCATION: Jan. 1, 1936, at Codell, KS

PARENTS:

SURVIVORS: His wife, Vesta of the home; five sons, Karl and Earl, both of Phillipsburg, Daryl of Agra, Neil of Winfield and Oren of Meade; a stepson, Don Born of Salina; a stepdaughter, Shelley Miller of Topeka; his mother, May Viola Dougherty of Plainville; a brother, Dennis of Great Bend; four sisters, Arlene Hockett of Codell, Ruby Poe of Oberlin, Iletta Harris of Larned and Retha Delgadillo of Pawnee Rock; 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: His first wife, Ruth Jean "Jo," in 1994; and two grandsons
