Obituary of PAUL H. WEGELE
Paul H. Wegele, 76, died Thursday, June 28, 2001 near Satanta.

He was born Jan. 14, 1925 in Barton County, the son of Jacob and Pauline Bitter Wegele. He was an insurance appraiser and adjuster. He was a resident of Ness City for the past 15 years and a resident of Ness City since 1946.

He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Bazine; Ness County Hospital Foundation Board, Ness City; LaCrosse VFW; and a Past International President of Lutheran Layman's League. Paul served in the Navy during World War II.

On May 7, 1944, he married Edna Maier in Milberger. She survives.

Other survivors include: two brothers, George Wegele, Hays, and Laland Wegele, Otis; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jacob "J" Ernest Wegele.

Funeral service was held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Bazine, Monday, July 2, with Rev. Randall Jahnke officiating. Burial with military graveside services by Olin Cole American Legion Post No. 392, Bazine, followed at Bazine Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Bazine, or Lutheran Hour Ministries."
