Obituary of MARY ELIZABETH PAINTER JACKSON
Mrs. John K. Jackson

Mrs. John K. Jackson departed this life July 24, 1919, after an illness of many weeks. She was called home to join her husband who passed away November 23, 1918.

Aunt Mary, as she was best known, was born near Little Flat, Bath Co., KY, August 6, 1935. She was united in marriage to John Kirk Jackson September 17, 1876, at Lebanon, Ind., and united with the Christian church at Salem, Ind., in 1868.

Uncle John and Aunt Mary made several changes, but she was always anxious to find a church in each community.
She was identified with the Wall Street Christian church at the time of its organization under the preaching of Rev. Henry Martin.
Mr. and Mrs. Jackson moved to Lafayette county, Ind., in 1870 and to Missouri in 1873. In 1898 they moved to their home near Wall Street, Kan.
Aunt Mary was loved and respected by all who knew her. She leaves a son, W. M. Jackson, a daughter, Mrs. P. C. Henderson, and a sister, Mrss. A. Jackson, besdies a host of friends and relatives to moourn her loss.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. U. S. G. Prowell of Pleasanton at the Wall Street church and she was laid to rest in Wesley Chapel cemetery.
