Obituary of MRS. CHELLAH BLACK
Funeral services for Mrs. Chellah Black of Prescott, who died December 24 (1963), were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Prescott Methodist Church with Rev John H. Anderson officiating. Music was furnished by a quartet, Kenneth and Eunice Ungeheur, Harry Rose and Hazel Grigsby accompanied by Mrs. Carrie Rose, organist.

Mrs. Black was born in Warrensburg, Missouri, January 6, 1872, the daughter of Elizabeth McCurdy and William Agnew. She married Jacob Thomas Black on March 9, 1890, at Warrensburg. He preceded her in death in 1935. Mrs. Black had lived nearly her entire lifetime in the Hume and Prescott areas.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Rees (Lulu) Shattuck, Prescott; three sons, Warren, Bronson; Ira, Fulton, and Harry, Prescott. Silas Agnew of Rich Hill is a brother. There are 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were D.L. Osborn, Kenneth Ferree, Howard and Kenneth Black, C.A. Kern, Bob Nickell, Kay and Carl Black, Lyle Shattuck, and Carl D. Ward.

Burial was in the Hume Cemetery
