Obituary of NAOMI PHOEBE WHITE
Naomi Phoebe White, 90, of rural Coffeyville died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at her home.

She was born March 28, 1910, west of Angola to William Horace and Hädda Bernadina (Carlson) Traxson.

She attended rural Emmons Elementary School, Angola High School and graduated from Labette County High School at Altamont.

She married Lyman Daniel White on Sept. 10, 1933, at Caney.

They lived near her family homestead west of Angola, where they farmed and raised livestock.

He preceded her in death Dec. 1, 1996.

She was a member of Angola United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

She is survived by one son, Gerald G. White of Coffeyville; one daughter, Phyllis Griffith of Coffeyville; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Lovell; and five sisters, Edith, Olive, Ruth, Alta and Eunice.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Angola United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Richland Cemetery north of Angola. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Thursday at the Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewood Chapel, Coffeyville.
