Obituary of MRS. MARY PRUITT
DEATH OF A PIONEER
Mrs. Mary Pruitt Passed Away Wednesday After a Long Illness
Death relieved Mrs. Mary Pruitt of her sufferings, Wednesday, August 25, at 3 o'clock p. m. She had been ill for a year with cancer, and she passed peacefully away, entering into the new life with the courage of a true Christian. Since 1868, she had resided in this city, and was esteemed by a large circle of friends. She was a member of the Methodist church, also the Ladies of the G.A.R. 
Rev. L. S. Jones conducted funeral at the residence Thursday afternoon, which were largely attended, and interment was in Oswego cemetery. 
The deceased is survived by a husband and one son, Perle of Bartlesville, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Mason Marsh of this city and Mrs. Edna Thompson of Bartlesville.
