Lovell L Traxson, 82 ,of rural Liberty died Friday afternoon, July 7, 2000 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 13, 1917, in rural Liberty to William H. and Hattie (Carlson) Traxson.  He was a graduate of Labette County Community
High School of Altamont.

He married Eva Crown on Feb. 17, 1940, at Pittsburg. She survives of the home. He was a welder for Stearman Aviation, Funk Manufacturing, Continental Can at Coffeyville and Leavenworth Steel in Coffeyville. He
retired in 1980.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Angola, where he served as a trustee. He was in the musicians' union and played guitar in several area dance bands. He served in the United States Air Force and
was discharged in 1946.

He is survived by one son, Larry Traxson of Cherryvale; one sister, Naomi White of rural Coffeyville; four grandchildren; and five

He was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.

The service was at 11 a.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Angola with the Rev. Phil Brownlee and the Rev. Elton Garrison officiating. Burial was in the Richland Cemetery at rural Angola.
